So, well after the rest of you, I finally got around to watching Doctor Who: Journey's End. My spoilery comments:

1. I still don't like Donna, and no, it's not just because of my unsecret lust for Martha Jones, (lthough I will admit that plays a part) or because I still feel that Rose developed a much stronger emotional connection with both Doctors Nine and Ten (although that definitely plays a part).

I just find her absolutely annoying.

Which is why I was equally annoyed when, just as her character stopped getting annoying, midway through the episode, by taking on the Doctor's personality quirks (and kudos to Catherine Tate for some outstanding acting there – it's not the actress I object to, but the character) the episode turned right around and made her annoying all over again, with the sole bright spot that she will presumably never appear in the show again. And seriously, her parents are absolutely correct: how, really, are they supposed to keep her from realizing that yes, the Earth really was towed through space, given that said event just happened the day before, even if she's been converted back into a complete airhead?

2. I repeat what I said back in the early 80s: the Daleks are, hands down, the lamest looking villains ever, no matter what you do with them.

3. This Davros, though, was darn good. Enough to make me believe that he would take a moment or two at the end of the universe to hit on Sarah Jane (and yes, for those who were wondering, he was absolutely hitting on Sarah Jane. Hee.)

4. Captain Jack: "I don't want to tell you what I'm thinking right now." Heh, heh, heh. Right there with you.

5. Liked the "Earth Returns Home" as the chief headline.

6. Oh, yes, Sarah Jane, let's just drip with irony when we tell the Doctor how great it is that he has all of these friends who have become family now., because now, of course, he's going to have to lose every single last one of them.

7. I don't know about you, but getting bought off by a clone of the guy I'm in love with, even a single hearted clone with major kissing abilities, would seriously but seriously tick me off, and no, that did not satisfy my little romantic heart at all. Was it supposed to? Because if it was, epic fail.

All in all, a decent episode up until the last five minutes or so.
